***Bring bags because floats and people hand out candy to children***
The Fourth of July is certainly the most American of holidays. Our chapter is proud and honored to be the driving force behind our community’s celebration of such an important day in our country’s history and in our national heritage. On Thursday, July 4, don your red, white and blue and celebrate with us both at our community parade in the morning & at our Celebration in the Park and fireworks display later in the evening. It’s a day fit for Lady Liberty and Uncle Sam themselves. Check out a photo album detailing all of last year’s fun on our Facebook page.
Community Parade
The day kicks off at 10:30 a.m. with our annual community parade, which features an eclectic mix of everything from vintage cars, tractors, dance troupes, and displays from various community groups and organizations. The parade represents those from all walks of life and provides a reflection of North Canton’s unified spirit. We encourage businesses, churches, organizations, school groups, and any individuals in the community to participate. The deadline to register is Monday, June 24, 2019.
The parade runs along Seventh Street Northeast to Main to Harmon before ending at North Canton Middle School.
