7 Fun Things to Do in Canton, OH

Even though the weather is colder and opportunities for socializing are hindered due to Covid, there are still a lot of chances to find some fun right here in Canton, OH.  Take a look and see if any of these ideas are a fit for your family!





1. Stark County District Libraries

10 branches scattered throughout Stark County, OH that are there for you each weekday and Saturdays too!  You can surf the web on a computer, find a great read in the Children's section for a bedtime story or grab a fun movie to watch in the comfort of your home!  Please be mindful of limited occupancy due to Covid and call the branch you want to attend with any questions.  You can find a list of branches and contact numbers here.  Also, check out their website for additional virtual programming.

2. Stark Parks

The park system in Stark County, OH is phenomenal!  There's over two dozen parks and trails just waiting for a winter hike and exploration day!  Stark Parks also offers family virtual and in-person events that require registration.  Click here for more information and get out in nature!

4. Glazed and Amused Pottery Painting

At Glazed and Amused in North Canton, OH you can bring your children to paint their very own piece of pottery.  Prices vary and include the cost of the piece, tax, and firing process and the item is available for pick up 4 days after painting.  They are open Monday through Saturday 12-8 and Sunday 12-6.  No appointments necessary, just walk in.  Masks required.  If you'd like to host a painting party for a birthday or other occasion give them a call!






5.Chuck E. Cheese is Open!

The crowds are still pretty small so this may be an outing you're ready to take with your kids!

6. Hit the Ice and Skate Away at the Hall of Fame City Ice Rink!

The rink is located in downtown Canton, OH in the open plaza beside the Stark County Courthouse.  If you're just a beginner or a seasoned pro, you can take to the ice and do your thing!

Hours are weather permitting.  Admission is $2 with your own skates, $4 to rent.  Call 330-454-2294 for questions.

Fri-Sat: 10 am – 8 pm
Sun: Noon – 6 pm





7. North Canton Skate & Entertainment Center
